(Wonder) Auggie's Classroom



Walt: identify and use the perimeter rule to calculate the size of Auggie’s classroom.

I was able to add and convert the wrong size into the right size.

Next time I can use the perimeter rule to measure any other stuff.

Our class were reading the book Wonder by R.J Palacio, and we joined Wonder Twitter Chapter Chat. One of the activities was to make Wonder's front page's face. It was very fun, we had lots of choises and you can make your own one.

Wonder


Walt : Recognize and understand specific language features.

I was able to find the Personification, Hyperbole, Idiom, Proper Noun and Metaphor in the book "Wonder", and find out what the definition is of the words.
Next time I'm going to try to look for all those language features when I read a book.

WALT: edit my Precious McKenzie writing independently to identify errors and get my work ready for Book Creator publishing.

I was able to edit my Precious McKenzie by using a dictionary and spotting the red line that show up when the word(s) wrong.

Next time I'm going and use the WALT for emails and any writing.

Ghost Math

Walt: use a calculator accurately I was able to use a calculator to add the amount for each person and to add for the total people's money altogether. Next time I'm planing to use this strategy for my daily.
